Minnesota

With a strong and growing coalition in Minnesota for more than 5 years, the USGLC works to educate and engage policymakers and community leaders on why investments in development and diplomacy help keep America safe and strengthen Minnesota’s economy.

The USGLC’s Minnesota Advisory Committee brings together more than 80 business, faith, non-profit, and political leaders who understand how American global leadership matters for Minnesota. We’re also proud of Minnesota’s Veterans for Smart Power – part of a nationwide network of 30,000 veterans.

  • I help to ensure that the raw materials for a Minnesota-based manufacturer are ethically and sustainably sourced. It's a good reminder that "the global" is always around us, and that the way we spend our money as consumers has consequences for families and communities across the world.

    Medtronic, Inc.

  • Minnesota-based companies such as 3M and General Mills depend upon global markets to provide jobs and investment opportunities to Minnesota communities.

    Nicholas Hayen

United Language Group & Minnesota International NGO Network (MINN)

  • Robust international affairs programs improve the lives of Americans at home and support the safety of those living abroad, which are two benefits that Minnesotans like me can’t afford to give up.

    Catherine Bruns

    University of Minnesota-Twin Cities

  • In agriculture, global and local are inherently connected. As someone who comes from a family of farmers and works to support farmers every day at Land O’Lakes, I care deeply about the future of agriculture both here in Minnesota and around the world.

    Laura Schmidt

    Land O'Lakes, Inc.
